#16 | Fashion in a Flash | Episode 1

Hello, this would be a new segment to my blog. Before you laugh at the very cheesy name, I tried many. Like Fashionä½ star (was my favourite), Fashion report, That's so fash, Flashy Fashy, Flash that Fash - Yep. But they all did not sound... appropriate. I was afraid of turning my blog into a comedic one. Lol

By no means am I declaring myself to be a fashion blogger, but I have always been very interested in fashion ever since a young age. I have always been passionate about it, taking notes of models and street dressings, however I am very conservative with mine as.. I wanna appear more normal. (such a bad excuse). But I have been making efforts to express myself better through the clothes that I wear to bring out my personality. So here's my shot.

Fashion in a Flash is a segment where I post inspirational pictures and share my personal tips and opinion on items/styles that may or may not be trendy, but are of to me considered fashionable and well pieced together.

1. The Spring Look
I am so into over-sized blazers. I just got one for myself and soooo cannot wait to style it!
It looks even more rad with sweaters and long pants and sneakers? Just so casual chic. Adore.

2. Halter Tops
It's flirty, sexy but not too revealing. I really like collarbones, they just accentuates your jaw lines and really gives me a confidence boost when I wear them out. Especially those with thin straps like this? Just perfecto.

3. Around dem(in) Waist
Perfect for people with wide hips but smaller upper body. By doing so, you kind of conceal your "flaw" and make your body more streamlined while balancing out your proportions.

I do this almost all the time, partly because when you don't have a bag big enough for your outerwear, I like the option we have to hanging it on our body as an accessory!

4. Cigarette Pants
Almost like No.1 without the blazer, the androgynous get up makes every cell in my eyes lit up. How can one not like the clean lines and silhouette? So smart casual looks like this.

5. Hats
As expensive as they are, they really can complete your mismatched outfit and once again balance your proportions. This outfits looks very Andrea Chong. Lol, but it's not her.

I have been trying to expand my hat collection? I adore fedoras and huge sun hats. Going to be stepping out of my comfort zone and don them more often. Will you wear it in our sunny Singapore?

6. The Everything with Nike
It has been rather a long trend since last year to pair anything and everything with your sports shoes. More prevalent in Korea where almost 70% of the people I saw were wearing sports shoes, but more Korean brands - New Balance and Reebok were popular there though - than Nike or Adidas (few). You just wanna give people the "I work out" vibe, when you actually don't.

But in a way, this trend is also good for those who prefer not to bring shoe bags around when shuttling between gym/workout sessions and work/school!

7. Big Hero 6
I really really really want a bomber jacket in this material?? It is so comfortable and it really keeps you warm. I almost got one in Korea, but they were not my size. They look so clean and fluffy as well. Would love to know what it is made of! I'm sure to feel like a marshmallow when I wear this out.

So yeah, this is a very short segment, but I thought it was high time for me to include something that I really am passionate about into this blog. And one of my goal in life would be to really set up my own store, maybe pieces from all over the world or inspired from my travels. A girl can dream right?

So far I have been getting good responses, thank you so much for reading my blog! I'm still learning and improving my writing and other skills, hopefully one day I would be able to publish content that is of standards I can be proud of.

Hope that this post did not disappoint, till the next one, love yourself and others. :)

X, Sharleen.
