2. Getting Here:
Personally, getthing here was a breeze. As I often stay near Chit Lom BTS, it was a one train-sit to the end-kind of journey to Chatuchak, Mo Chit BTS Staiton. But of course there are many types of transportation methods:

Nearest BTS (Sky train) station:
Mo chit

- I personally took this route, once alighted, look for Exit 1 pointed for Chatuchak Market, you will see an overhead bridge on your right, cross it and you will see a park on your right. Upon reaching ground floor, either cut through the park or walk around the park that will bring you to gate 2 of the Chatuchak Market.

3. Tips:
Before coming here, be prepared to experience humidity like you have never done so before. Despite my trip there on a friday, with almost no one there, the heat coming from the densely pack stores and weather is not a joke. It would be worse if you were to hustle with the crowd on the weekends.

  • Do wear comfortable lightweight clothing and shoes.
  • Do bring enough cash, depending on what you want to buy, but an estimation for casualy shopping 2,500baht (About 100SGD) is more than enough.
  • Arrive as early as possible, where the sun is not that hot yet, you might just beat the crowd as well.
  • Remember to apply sun block and bring a hat or sunglasses if you like to.
  • Remember to hydrate! There are many drink stalls, but bring a bottle around with you just in case.
  • Expect to find treasures, so bring along big shopping bags to keep all your treasures while saving the environment a little?
  • Mind your safety, the more crowded a place, the more you should take note of your belongings.
  • There are free maps available at the information kiosks.
  • If you like something, buy it from that store, don't wait. There are too many stores and it might be hard to track back the exact store.
  • Extra: Use the word, "Peng!" ( Pronounced as Pa-eng) It means expensive in Thai, if you want to try bargaining. Also talk to the vendors with a smile! Smiling is always a charm :)

Some picture of the things I've found there:

Must try!! Coconut Ice-cream.

4. My Ratings:
